LAUREN SAVARESE

Interior architecture and design professional.
Focused on making stunning spaces, sustainably.

My name is Lauren, and I'm an architectural and interior designer in Southern Oregon in both the commercial and residential fields. With a master's degree in architectural and interior design from Academy of Art University, I am able to offer my clients a wide scope of expertise that ranges from building design to space planning, interior design, and even 3D renderings. I am also the in-house designer at Garrison's Home in Phoenix, OR, where I have access to a large variety of high-end furniture vendors to outfit my client's spaces with the most innovative and unique pieces.

While my love for all things design has been present since I was a child, my career background actually began outside of the design industry. In 2022, I was working for a district attorney's office while finishing up my second year of law school in San Francisco. As I sat at my desk one day wishing I could reconfigure my law firm's office, I realized I lacked the enthusiasm necessary for the law field. So, I left law school to pursue interior design and my life-long love for functional and aesthetically pleasing organization and design.

My greatest strength within the design process is working with clients to find a concept that relays the client's desired feel and function and using that concept as a guide for every project choice, resulting in a space that is unique and consistent. While I thoroughly enjoy working together with my clients, I believe what sets me apart from other designers are my technical skills. Using a mix of Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe suite, I'm able to portray interior spaces in realistic 3D models with respective construction documentation, allowing my clients who have a harder time envisioning what has yet to be although FF&E specification is another phase I greatly enjoy completing. While I take care to bring a fresh aesthetic to every project, I wholeheartedly commit to one overarching guide in my designs: Never be boring.

Born and raised in the secluded northern-Californian town of Mt. Shasta, the beauty and significance of our natural surroundings has always been both my inspiration and motivation when designing. I’m passionate about finding the true potential of each and every space not just in its aesthetic and functionality, but also in its self-sufficiency and sustainability.
From hotel construction document drafting to lighting and textile design, my portfolio showcases a variety of design styles and disciplines. I am confident in the process of taking a project from the programming phase all the way through construction documentation, and cannot wait for my first chance to see a project through the construction administration phase.

The following projects were completed as part of my coursework for my Master of Arts degree in the Interior Architecture and Design department of Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
