Growing up in Jamaica, where materiality, climate, and culture are deeply intertwined, has shaped the way I understand and approach design. As a senior in RISD's BFA Interior Architecture program, I am particularly drawn to hospitality and residential spaces, as well as the small details that come together to create the entire experience of a place.
My semester studying design in Copenhagen further strengthened my interest in human-centered, reflective environments that respond thoughtfully to both the people who inhabit them and the contexts in which they exist.
This perspective also continues to shape my growing interest in sustainable design. Earning my LEED Green Associate credential has given me a foundation in green building principles, and I aim to create spaces that are purposeful, contextually grounded, and considerate of their environmental impact.
