The site is set back from the main road, and can be access by one of three main routes: the Vennel Steps to the North; or Kier Street and Heriot Place to the South. Only the latter two are accessible by car.
All three routes allow for the proposed building to be revealed gradually upon approach, as it would remain largely hidden by neighbouring properties until the user is in close proximity. On Keir Street, residents take pride in their houses with potted plants and ornaments. Colourful flowers are jusxtaposed against the stonework and pavements are lined with black iron fences.
