Throughout my career, I have always gone out of my way to engage in industry networking, guest lecturing, public engagement events, and any form of cross-pollination in the Landscape Architecture field. I have given guest lectures and site tours for several universities, which is an opportunity I rarely pass up. Attending community meetings, interacting with students, and understanding the public's perception of a wide array of topics is essential to staying abreast with where the industry is going.
In addition to educational and community events, I take great pleasure in attending, contributing to, and learning from various conferences, events, and symposiums. I am a member of the ASLA in the PA-DE Chapter, and make an effort to attend the national conference every year. As a water department employee, I regularly attend and contribute to various symposiums and organizations such as the Villanova Urban Stormwater Symposium, the Green Infrastructure Leadership Exchange, and the American Water Resources Association among others.
