Project details

This luxury 5-star hotel is located on a seaside plot in North Crete. Despite the plot spanning over 20 acres, the buildable area is limited to 4 acres, creating unique design challenges. The main goal was to optimize sea views for all rooms while adhering to these constraints.

The hotel features 89 luxury rooms and communal areas, including restaurants, bars, a gym, and a spa, covering a total area of 4,600 m² on a 20,079 m² plot. To maximize views, the complex's building mass fans out toward the sea, creating a protected central courtyard for optimal sunlight and ventilation.

Privacy was a key consideration, achieved through fragmented and rotated building volumes. As part of the team, I designed the guest rooms, restaurant, reception, and lobby. I created detailed 2D drawings and 3D renderings used for client presentations and marketing. Additionally, I attended site inspections to address issues and ensure design integrity from concept to completion.
