Project details

The project is located in an alley of the old part of Chania City, where two buildings were joined to create a contemporary home that meets modern living needs. The renovation preserves the original structure's weathered stone facades adorned with traditional Cretan motifs, celebrating its history. Contemporary design elements subtly enhance both form and function, creating a fusion of modern fixtures and vintage aesthetics that honors the spirit of the Old Harbor.

I played a key role in redesigning the interior layout, preserving the essence of the neighborhood while transforming the space into a luxurious home. As lead designer, I conceptualized and executed the use of Palladiano flooring in the terrace and living areas, blending classical and contemporary styles with colorful marbles to create bold, harmonious statements. I also carefully arranged the terrace marble pieces to ensure aesthetic and functional balance.

Additionally, I produced 2D floor plans, construction drawings, electrical plans, and 3D renderings to bring the project from concept to realization, balancing the property’s rich history with innovative design solutions.
