Nestled in Plano, a city known for its elevated quality of life and effortless blend of work and leisure, this community is where style meets purpose, and thoughtful design supports everyday living.

The property is a mixed-use destination developed by Billingsley and operated under The Billingsley Collection. The neighborhood features on-site convenience retail, casual dining, boutique shopping, and essential services fostering a walkable, engaging environment for residents.

Architecturally, the community is defined by its eclectic mix of styles, blending historic brick elements with subtle Parisian touches. The interiors marry traditional charm with contemporary elegance, all wrapped in a soft industrial palette that feels timeless yet forward-thinking.

The result is a bold yet refined community that redefines boutique living in the heart of Plano, making it one of the top lease-up communities in Texas in 2024.

Details

The Beacon stands as a flagship multifamily property within The Sound at Cypress Waters, recognized as one of Texas' top 10 performing communities in 2024. This development was designed to combine soft industrial influences with classic elegance. I oversaw the operations, assisted with the construction setup, floorplans, and the model unit selection.

During my internship, I contributed to key elements of the property’s success, from conducting amenity audits and construction walks to assisting with the full development setup. I supported lifestyle programming, leasing strategies, and digital asset creation, and led content initiatives that enhanced brand visibility, including a TikTok campaign that gained over 17,000 views. My work helped position The Beacon not only as a visually striking community but also as a leasing leader in the region.

The project was a great success. The project was the first set up I completed for Billingsley. The project resulted in being one of the top lease-up communities in all of Texas in 2024. The design plan was executed effectively, and the resulting space has exceeded expectations. The team also finished construction under the calculated budget.
