Italian Villa Living Room

Inspiration

For this project I was instructed to create a mood board from things I found inspiring that were not directly related to design and translate them into a living room design and concept. After I found my overall concept, I then had to pull in a few different historical styles and combine them in a way that was seamless and intentional.

Furniture Plan

I then had to come up with multiple different furniture plans and choose the one that I thought best fit the space. After choosing the plan I refined it and added more detail.

FF & E

This is my selection of furniture, fixtures and equipment for the space. The stone end tables pull in the Italinate style nicely, while the detailing of the bookcase and lines of the sofa allude to the Victorian influence.

Rendering

After designing the space in a 2D format and selecting finishes, I rendered the room through SketchUp. After rendering on that program I hand rendered the room to show colors and finishes.
