This primary suite was reimagined to improve functionality, privacy, and flow. The original layout presented several challenges, including cramped circulation, limited storage, and congestion between the closet and bathroom. By swapping the locations of the closet and bathroom, the redesign creates a more intuitive layout while maximizing usable space throughout the suite.
The shower was expanded to nearly double its original size, a dedicated makeup vanity was added for additional storage and counter space, and the outdated whirlpool tub was replaced with a modern soaking tub. An enclosed water closet, along with carefully positioned windows and shower walls, enhances privacy while maintaining an open and airy feel.
Designed with a modern coastal spa aesthetic in mind, the space showcases a refined palette of natural textures and timeless finishes. A striking quartz with sapphire-blue veining serves as a focal point behind the tub and is carried through to the countertops, while wood-look tile introduces warmth and texture throughout the bathroom. The shower floor features a soft sea glass mosaic in smoky blue tones that echoes the palette found throughout the suite, adding subtle color and visual depth. Polished chrome fixtures and sconces provide crisp contrast against the softer matte surfaces, and a handcrafted bubble glass chandelier adds visual interest and balance. In the adjoining bedroom, navy grasscloth wallpaper and layered textiles create a serene retreat that feels both elevated and inviting.
