Istanbul Cultural Center

Located on the Asian side of Istanbul, this real estate property offers a breathtaking view of the Bosphorus, a strait that connects the Asian and European continents, making it a remarkable and unique sight to behold.

Despite having an extensive list of requirements, my top priority during the design process was to ensure a clear view of the Bosphorus from the street level while avoiding another massive building that would obstruct the view. The goal was to make the Bosphorus accessible to everyone and provide an unobstructed view of this magnificent sight. To achieve this, I created gaps on the ground floor that resembled streets. These gaps provided a clear view of the Bosphorus from the outside and created public access to the waterfront.

  • Designing a cultural building as a graduation project allowed me to explore my creativity and design freely, without being limited by the constraints of a real-life budget. Through this experience, I was able to develop my design skills, which involved conceptualizing, planning, and executing a design project from start to finish.
