My name is Galia Spence, and I am a student in the Architecture program at the Peter Guo-hua Fu School of Architecture at McGill University. My work is driven by an interest in design as a means of shaping spatial experience, with a focus on the relationship between form, materiality, and atmosphere. I am particularly interested in how architecture can mediate between people, environment, and context to create meaningful and engaging spaces.
I have further developed my design approach through the Bartlett Summer Architecture Program at University College London (UCL), where I explored architectural theory, representation, and experimental methods of form-making. My background as valedictorian and student council president has strengthened my leadership, organization, and collaborative skills, which I bring into studio-based work.
I am committed to advancing both my technical and conceptual abilities, and I am eager to contribute to projects that are thoughtful, context-driven, and innovative in their approach to design.
