We’ve designed this house with a focus on reflecting the client’s preference for the vernacular style of Karnataka. Key materials, such as teak wood, were selected for the common areas to bring warmth and authenticity to the space. The ceiling design was meticulously crafted to align with traditional aesthetics, enhancing the home’s cultural essence. Additionally, intricate carvings at the entrance of the puja room serve as a focal point, embracing and celebrating the region’s rich craftsmanship. These elements together create an atmosphere that resonates with the timeless beauty of Karnataka’s architectural heritage.
The design phase spanned nearly 5 months, during which we thoroughly explored and refined the concept. We began by developing the furniture layout, followed by detailed presentations to better understand the client’s preferences. This was followed by sketching and creating 3D models to visualize the space more effectively. Once the vision was clear, we proceeded with meticulous material selection, finalizing the design for each area in alignment with the overall aesthetic. The phase concluded with on-site validation, ensuring that the design translated seamlessly into the physical space.
