Project overview

This project involves the design and execution of a residence for a family of four, located in an apartment in Kakkanad, Kochi. The design aims to create a balanced blend of traditional and contemporary styles, integrating Athangudi-inspired elements to add character and cultural depth.

The focus is on crafting a space that is both functional and aesthetically refined, reflecting modern living while retaining a strong sense of tradition.

Details

In this project I independently managed the entire design process, from concept development to execution support. My role was integral in shaping the project’s overall vision, involving architectural development, construction coordination, and final furnishing and styling decisions.

My responsibilities also included site visits, preparing design renders, sourcing and evaluating tile and material quotations, developing furniture design concepts, and coordinating client meetings to ensure design alignment.

Results

The project was a great success. The project was completed on time, and the client was very satisfied with the final result. The design plan was executed effectively, and the resulting space has exceeded expectations. The team also finished construction under the calculated budget.
