Residential Villa Project

PROJECT OVERVIEW

This two-story home was designed to become a natural extension of its breathtaking surroundings. The project allowed me to bring together many of the things I enjoy most about design, combining architecture, interior spaces, and landscape into one. Inspired by the beauty of the mountains, in Gabala Village, Azerbaijan.

The goal was to create a space that fully embraces panoramic views, offers year-round connection to nature, and provides a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Entrances and First Floor Layout
The house has three entrances: one main entrance and two secondary ones. One of the side entrances leads directly to the winter terrace, where a convenient cloakroom is also located.

From the hallway, you enter a spacious and bright open-plan dining and living area. Here you will find a large dining table, a comfortable sofa with armchairs, and a TV zone. Thanks to two large windows, the living room is filled with natural light throughout the day.

The first floor offers two living rooms:

  • one more formal, perfect for hosting guests and festive dinners,

  • the other designed for quiet, cozy family evenings.

There are three bathrooms on this level: two private ones connected to the bedrooms, and a guest bathroom located near the main entrance.

An additional convenience is the garage for one car, with direct access to the house.

Terraces and Year Round Use
The summer terrace is fully glazed, allowing you to enjoy this space comfortably not only during warm seasons but also in winter. Whether it’s a sunny summer day or a cool winter evening, the terrace provides a pleasant retreat in any weather.

The winter terrace plays an important functional role by protecting the house from cold winds and helping to retain warmth inside.

Second Floor
On the second floor, there are two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The master bedroom features a private balcony with beautiful views of the property and surrounding landscape.

Landscape Design and Outdoor Recreation Area
Particular attention was given to landscaping. The property is designed to create a sense of coziness and beauty in every corner.

Every element of the design is thoughtfully integrated with the landscape, filling the home with natural light and warmth. It’s a place to live fully and gaze at the changing mountain scenery throughout the seasons.

Gabala Mountains, Azerbaijan

The outdoor area includes:

  • a barbecue zone

  • a heated swimming pool,

  • a decorative fountain,

  • numerous flowers, shrubs, and trees,

  • a fire pit area, perfect for evenings with family and friends.

One of the standout features of the property is the outdoor heated pool. Even in winter, surrounded by snow-covered landscapes, residents can enjoy a warm swim while immersed in nature’s beauty - creating a truly unique sense of comfort and relaxation.

Curved garden paths, water features, and carefully placed trees help guide movement, privacy, and frame views from inside the house. My goal was to make the entire property feel like a peaceful retreat.
